Quo Vadis History

The Agenda Planning® is born

Doctor Francis Georges Beltrami invented for his personal use, a new concept to facilitate time management. This new concept called “Agenda Planning®” allows the user to visualise his whole week of meetings on 2 pages. Dr. Beltrami made his first diary by stamping the blank pages of a workbook with a stamp representing his new grid “Agenda Planning®”.

The creation of Quo Vadis Editions

The interest that his family and friends showed for his invention decided Dr. Beltrami to go one step further and to manufacture his invention. For this, he created Quo Vadis Editions in Marseille, France in 1954. His diary with a one week on two pages grid and structured with spaces indicating times and actions to be taken, was the source of many patent filings in France as well as in many other countries.

Honour prize

Together with the Citroën DS and the IBM typewriter, the Quo Vadis diary is chosen to receive the honour prize for being one of the great products of the Twentieth century during the Art and Industry exhibition at the Louvre museum in Paris.

Quo Vadis opens up in Canada

International presence

From now on, Quo Vadis diaries are printed in English, German, Italian, Spanish and are commercialized throughout the world.

This is the year when Quo Vadis joins the Exacompta-Clairefontaine group

Quo Vadis becomes certified PEFC

Quo Vadis obtains its certification by PEFC council for the chain of traceability of its paper. This certification insures that the forest from which the trees are cut has obtained a certificate for its long term management.
